There are multiple positions within our Volunteer Corps and all are equally important!

• Tender Driver/Operator

  • Responds to fire calls; performs all necessary duties as a tender operator including, but not limited to, the operation of equipment, emergency apparatus and tools necessary to ensure all operations are performed safely and efficiently on the fire ground.

  • Drives water tenders to emergency scenes, operates pumps, hose and other equipment until extinguishment of fire.

  • Follows standard policies, procedures, guidelines, and safety rules as outlined in federal, state, and local regulations as well as by the district for such activities.
    

• Events Specialist

  • Planning events of varying sizes and purposes.

  • Managing events and addressing potential problems that may arise.

  • Organize and implement activities related to Whetstone Fire, safety items and procedures.

• Operations Support Specialist

  • Provides lighting at fires and other Fire District emergencies.

  • Provides water as well as nutritional snacks at major incidents in order to keep firefighters and other emergency personnel hydrated and energized.

  • Provides general help to promote safety and well-being of all first responders.
