Whetstone is prepared to neutralize and mitigate all types of structural fires such as residential, commercial, and industrial buildings.
Wildland Firefighting
All employees are certified wildland firefighters, the district maintains “green status” for most of the year to be available for rapid nationwide deployment.
Hazardous Materials Response
Hazardous materials can range anywhere from toxic gasses to improvised explosive devices. We are prepared and trained to handle all hazards.
Medical Services
ALS ambulances are staffed 24/7 for any emergency. All of our paramedics are ACLS and PALS certified and all of our EMTs are IV and iGel certified.
Technical Rescue
Whetstone personnel is available 24/7 for all sorts of complex emergencies such as rope rescue, swift water rescue, and vehicle extrication.
Prevention
We do home safety inspections and plans as well as install free smoke alarms for Whetstone residents. We also host a yearly safety fair.
