This program will prepare you to meet specific entry-level certifications, including Firefighter I and II, HAZMAT FRA/FRO, Wildland Firefighter Type II, and Rope Rescue Operations. It consists of 18 challenging weeks of didactic and practical hours that will give students the tools necessary to prepare for a career in the fire service.
Requirements
Must be a U.S. citizen
Have a valid driver's license
Be at least 18 years old
High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent
Proficiently read, write, and understand the English language
Pass a medical examination
Academy Dates
Academy Class 26-01 will begin January 10th; the application deadline is January 1st. The cost of the academy is $1,800 per person. Those who are sponsored by another agency will receive a 15% discount on tuition. A $500 deposit is required to secure a spot in the academy.
